Obituary

Robert “Bob” Neil MacLeod July 22, 1949 – October 6, 2021

Bob was one of three boys born to Allan MacLeod and Leona MacLeod (Hartley) of Hafford, SK.  The MacLeod boys could be a bit of a rowdy bunch but they eventually out grew it…well mostly.

Bob and his brothers (Doug and Pat) grew up to be plumbers, which is what Bob spent his career doing.  He was a hardworking man.

In his younger years Bob spent a good portion of his free time hunting, fishing or getting in some golf with friends and family.  Bob was known to many as “Bobcat Bob” and for a time was practically famous amongst the “swap and shop” radio community.  Bob loved the great outdoors.  Whether hunting, fishing, golfing, tinkering on something in his yard, out for a rip on his quad/ side-by-side/ golfcart, or just relaxing on the deck with friends for Happy Hour, if the weather was good chances are he was outside enjoying it how ever he could.

Bob had three children: Kandi (Trent) Sittler, Greg MacLeod and Erin MacLeod.  He was also fortunate enough to have four grandchildren: Brandon, Sierrah, Savannah Sittler and Lucas MacLeod.  Bob loved each of them very much and was very proud to call them his.  In his own words, “I have more love for family than anybody could ever know, just never knew how to show it.”  This sentence speaks volumes, while the relationship with Dad could at times be a tricky one, there was always love in the mix too.

The last few years have not been kind to Dad.  With his failing health he had lost the ability to do the things he most enjoyed.  Fortunately, he was surrounded by some really great friends that made sure he had the things he needed and for that we cannot thank you all enough.  While it is hard to say goodbye, we are also relieved to know Dad is no longer in pain.

Dad was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Pat; his grandson, Brandon and his common-law partner, Dianne Englisbee.

Due to the current times we are living in, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  We know Dad will be loved and missed by many so for now we ask that you raise a glass in his honor and celebrate him in your own way.  Cheers to you Dad, until we meet again.

Love Always, Kandi, Greg and Erin xoxo
