Paula Sue Howard Obituary

Paula Sue Prince Howard, aged 57 of Moore County Tennessee, passed away October 7thth 2021 at St. Thomas Ascension Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.

Born on April 14th, 1964 in Lawton, OK she was the wife of Randall B. Howard and daughter of the late Carolyn Sue Prince and Jack Thomas Prince.  Her parents Carolyn and Jack and her brother Larry C. Prince preceded her in death.

Paula is survived by: husband Randall B. Howard of Lynchburg; siblings Pam (Chris) Evans of Normandy, Mike (Melissa) Prince of Normandy, and Robert (Melissa) Prince of Decherd; her stepchildren Amanda (Ryan) Blunden of Lynchburg, Jason (Jessica) Howard of Tullahoma, and Andrew (Logan) Howard of Tullahoma; step-grandchildren, innumerable nieces and nephews, god-children, cousins, adopted-in family, in-laws, as well as her loving and ever-faithful pets and companions Lucy (D) and Maggie (C), and friends across the globe.

Paula was employed in various places over the years, but most of her major and most important work was done in supporting and loving all sides of her family and friends.  She loved to travel and make new friends, and was a sometimes thief of plants, seeds, recipes, and hugs; but would always give back more than she took.  She was a phone call at 2am to solve the worlds’ mysteries and problems or talk about the kids and the rainstorms coming.  She never met a stranger or something she didn’t want to help, no matter if it came on two legs, four legs, or with wings, petals, and roots.  Whether you knew her as Paula, “Susie”, “Sis”, “Sissie”, or “Short-anything”, if you needed her, she was there.

She will be cremated as was her wish, and ashes will be held and scattered when the family and friends can agree upon “the highest mountain-top ya’ll can get to”, as was her request of Randy.  Which is one more thing we will go out of our way to do, because who could ever say no to Paula?   Those that knew Paula loved her; a kinder gentler soul never walked the Earth; and her laughter and smile will be missed always.
