Wilbert Oxendine, 77, of Hickory passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Carolina Caring in Newton He was born December 5, 1944 in Scotland County, NC to the late Zack Fields and Lidie Oxendine. Wilbert was a full-blooded Indian and a loving family man. He retired as an asphalt distributor, was a hard worker, enjoyed fishing and would do anything for anyone. Those left to cherish his memory are; Son: Wilbert Oxendine of Hickory Daughters: Teasua Oxendine and husband Bradford Buff of Newton Crystal Kyles and husband Reagan of Hickory Tonie Oxendine of Stanley Brother: Virgil Oxendine of Laurinburg, NC Ex-Wife: Rachel Propst Five Grandchildren A memorial service to celebrate Wilbert’s life will be held at a later date.
