Patricia Bogey

Kinston- Patricia J. Bogey, 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, at 2:00 at Edwards Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. Patricia was born in Jones County on October 5, 1940, to Fred and Katie Buck Jones. She was a homemaker and wonderful baker. She had an in home daycare for many years. Patricia was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Daren Bogey; daughter, Christy Bogey Hyde and husband Galen Hyde; sister, Sally Jones; brother, Reynold Jones; grandchildren, Joshua Bogey, Megan Bogey, Nathaniel Hyde, Anna Gayle Hyde. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Richard Bogey; two brothers Fred Jones Jr., and Robert Jones; one sister, Mavis Jarman. Patricia lived in the Murray Circle for over 50 years. The family would like to thank all of her friends and neighbors in that are for their visits, food, prayers and care during her illness. Also, they would like to thank Dr. Peter Watson, and his staff, Pruitt Hospice Services, Shady Grove United Methodist Church, Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, and Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church for their love and concern.

Mrs Bogey made all my kids birthday cakes when they were little and loved her Twinkie cake the best. Prayers for her family I’m sure she will be missed by many 🙏❤️🙏
