Santi "Sam" DeMascio

RUMFORD – Mr. Santi “Sam” DeMascio, 89, died Tuesday October 12,2021 at the Marshwood Center in Lewiston. He was a resident of Prospect Ave in Rumford. Born in Rumford, ME on February 14, 1932 he was the son of Loreato “Lawrence” and Rose (Sullivan) DeMascio. Sam was a graduate of Stephens High School and served in the US Air Force. He worked for Oxford Paper Company and Boise Cascade as a Millwright. He was a member of the Napoleon Ouellette Post #24 American Legion and a life member of the Gorizia Lodge #467, Sons of Italy. Sam was married in Rumford, ME on May 27, 1960 to Gloria Ann Stanzilis who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include his sons, Frank of Norfolk, VA, Larry of Rumford, James and his wife Sharon of Greene, ME and David and his wife Jennifer of Rumford, his daughter Karen Chouinard and husband James of Auburn, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
