Vera Enid Baker
<p>Vera Baker of Penticton, BC passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021 at the age of 99 years.</p> <p>She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Doreen (George) Haywood and Sheila (Brian) Grocott; grandchildren, Mike Grocott, Murray Haywood, Trish (Tony) Dixon, Charlene (Steve) Wyke and Heidi; great-grandchildren, Hana Dixon, Jaden and Kylie Haywood.</p> <p>Vera was predeceased by her husband, Samuel (Pete) Baker; daughter, Patricia; parents, Charles and Dorothy Kiff.</p> <p>Mom loved the many camping and fishing trips with family and friends, her crossword skills, as well as her keen and incredible talent of knitting many baby outfits and later, dish cloths!</p> <p>Special thanks to the staff at The Hamlets at Penticton for their many years of special care.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, a donation to the CNIB fighting blindness at <a href="http://www.cnib.ca">www.cnib.ca</a> or to the Penticton Regional Hospital at <a href="https://sosmedicalfoundation.com">https://sosmedicalfoundation.com</a> would be appreciated.</p> <p>A Celebration of Vera’s Life will be held at Providence Funeral Homes Penticton Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021.</p>Obituary
