<p><span style="font-size:20px;">Torrington- Katherine E. Regner, beloved wife of Edward G. Regner, Sr., passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in Torrington.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Katherine was born in Torrington on February 27, 1933, daughter of the late John and Ethel M. (Howe) Dubiel. She was a lifelong Torrington resident and a devout communicant of St. Peter&rsquo;s Church. Katherine and Edward wed on August 8, 1953 and enjoyed 68 years of marriage before her passing.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A quiet woman with a love of hummingbirds, dolls and teacups, Katherine nevertheless possessed a resolute will and a mischievous spirit that made an indelible impression on everyone who came to know her. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker, fiercely loyal to her husband and sons, and supportive and kind to friends and neighbors in times of need. Katherine was an avid cook, baker, gardener and crafter.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Survivors, in addition to her husband, Edward, Sr., include four sons, Edward G. Regner, Jr., and his wife, Susan, of New Hartford, David J. Regner and his wife, Audrey, of Newark, NY, Alan R. Regner and his wife, Maureen, of New Hartford, and Thomas A. Regner and his wife, Michelle, of West Hartford; five grandchildren, Michelle Guibert, Andrew Regner, Carolyn Buley, Amanda Regner, and Stephanie Chasse; five great-grandchildren, and a niece, Cindy (Dubiel) Rogenski. Katherine was predeceased by her brother, John E. Dubiel.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:20px;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15, 2021, beginning at 10:00 AM with a procession from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Peter&rsquo;s Church, 107 E. Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Peter&#39;s Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <span style="font-size:22px;"><em><strong>Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Paul the Great Parish, 160 Main St., Torrington, CT 06790.</strong></em></span></p>

Im sorry for your loss. Im Karen Howe Phillips from New Hartford. My Dad, Emlyn was Ethels brother. I would have attended the service but will be out of town. I recognized the name as soon as I saw it. Hard to believe I am Katherines first cousin. Again, my condolences.
