<p>Graveside services for Harold T. Whorton will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson. Pastor Billy Burris will officiate. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Mr. Whorton entered into rest on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.</p> <p>Harold Whorton was born January 1, 1940 in Kirbyville, MO to Lige and Albertie (Pleake) Whorton. He attended Kirbyville Elementary School and graduated from Branson High School. Harold was a lifelong Taney County resident.</p> <p>He married the love of his life Carol Jean “Jeanie” Parton on June 17, 1961. They had celebrated fifty-seven years together before her passing in 2018.</p> <p>Harold began his working career at Branson Laundry which was located downtown. From there, he had a long career driving and delivering bread for Holsum Bread Co., and retired from the Butternut Bread Co.</p> <p>He enjoyed turkey, pheasant, and deer hunting and going fishing. </p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brother Kenneth Whorton.</p> <p>Harold is survived by his two sons Doug Whorton (Lori) of Hollister; Mark Whorton (Jessica) of Nixa; his sister Betty Rosencrans of Hollister; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. </p> <p>Visitation will be held Monday evening, October 18, 2021 at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory from 6-7:30 PM.</p>January 1, 1940 - October 10, 202101/01/194010/10/2021

Harold was our bread delivery man at Forsyth Drive In. Always so pleasant, kind, and friendly! I am terribly sorry for the families loss. He was a true treasure️
