Rosemarie C. Manthy Panella
<p>Rosemarie C. Manthy Panella, 94, of Neshannock Township, passed away at her residence on October 13, 2021. </p><p><br></p><p>Born on February 1, 1927, in Milwaukee, WI., Rosemarie was the daughter of the late Raymond N. and Theresa Russ Manthy. Preceding her in death on January 12, 2015 is her husband of over seventy years, John C. Panella, Sr., whom she married on May 17, 1944 while he served in the Navy during WWII. </p><p><br></p><p>Rosemarie’s faith played a very important role in her life. She was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church. </p><p><br></p><p>In their earlier years, Rosemarie and John enjoyed going to their hunting camp every weekend in Emlenton, PA. She loved sketching, painting and was an award-winning watercolor artist. She had memberships in Youngstown and Pittsburgh water color societies and several others. Rosemarie also enjoyed flower gardening. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her children, Jane Santini and her husband Bruno of New Castle, Joyce A. Panella and her companion, Geoffrey Peluso of New Castle, Jodi A. Panella of New Castle, her daughter-in-law, Barbara (Eve) Panella; her sister, Judith Stephan of Kewaskum, WI; her five grandchildren, Lynda Santini, Lisa Panella, Jacqueline Icaza, John W. Panella and Lori Temperato Battista and five great grandchildren, Alex, Anna, Tre, Milana and Adriana and numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemarie is preceded in death by her son, John C. Panella, Jr., sisters, Dolores Kogelmann, Elizabeth Manthy, Patricia Zube and her granddaughter, Diane (Santini) Sansone. </p><p><br></p><p>Private calling hours for the family will be held at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. </p><p><br></p><p>A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. John the Baptist Maronite Church at 11:00am on Saturday, conducted by Father Hanna Karam. </p><p><br></p><p>Burial will take place at St. Vitus Cemetery. </p>Obituary
