Anna E. Kelley Obituary

KELLEY, Anna E. (Kelly) April 15, 1922-September 11, 2021 With deep sadness, I share the passing of my beautiful, fun loving, talented mom. Anna was born April 15, 1922 to James and Mary (Conway) Kelly, from County Mayo, Ireland, at Boston Lying-in hospital and raised in her family home on Wait St., Mission Hill. With six brothers (all serving in WWII) and three sisters, losing her mom at the age of four was heartbreaking for the family. She attended Mission Grammar School and Mission High, class of 1939 and started with the telephone company after graduating. In 1944, Anna took a position with the MTA, now the MBTA. On Christmas Eve 1946, Anna married Francis M. Kelley at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. Anna loved her four children, Francis, Jean, Nancy and the late Beth, raising her loving family in Milton. Anna was a devoted Mom and Gram of nine and Great-Gram of twelve, living her life for her family. Anna spent her last years living on Fan Pier in Boston's Seaport. She loved being on the water, and watching the boats from her window. A true beauty in and out with a great sense of humor, Anna will always be loved and missed.  A celebration of Anna’s life and Funeral Mass will be held at a future date.
