Wayne Mayes

Services for Wayne Mayes, 65, of St. Louis, will be at 2 p.m., Saturday Oct. 16, 2021, at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia, with Rev. Donaldo Sonntag of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Laddonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Mr. Mayes passed away Tuesday Oct. 12, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. Wayne was born Jan. 15, 1956 in Mexico, the son of Joe Richard and Ardyce Vavene Odegard Mayes. Survivors includes: two brothers, Terry Mayes, of St. Charles, and Warren (Debbie) Mayes, of St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Mayes was a Lutheran by faith who enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts as well as watching St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals games. Wayne graduated from Columbia College where he received a bachelor in accounting. He was an accounts payable manager at Slay Industries for more than 20 years. His love was his work at Busch Stadium as a beer vendor for 25 years. Pallbearers will be Donald Welch, Larry Welch, Mike Lovelace, Dennis Smith, Kenny Welch, and Chris Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Hollingsworth, Bill Tratchel, and David Welch. Memorial contributions may be made to King's Daughters Home in care of Bienhoff Funeral Home PO Box 6, Laddonia, MO 63352.
