Margie Lucille Perry, 93, of Friendship House died at 5:26 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Christian Health Center. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Minister P.J. Hicks and Spencer Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A native of Kelly, KY she was born November 17, 1927 the daughter of the late William Streeter McCord and Ella Brasher McCord. She was retired after 25 years as a cashier at Wal-Mart. She was a member of Hopkinsville Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: George Burl Perry; her brothers: Iley “Bud” McCord and Gaither McCord; and her sisters: Irene McCord McKnight, Louise McCord Stetzel, and Naomi Adams Lile. Survivors include her daughter: Linda Berl Perry (Donald Hugh) Harned of Hopkinsville, KY; and a grandson: Donald Wayne Harned. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Gideons International.
