Rosemarie H. (Snow) Schuler Obituary

Rosemarie H. (Snow) Schuler peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital. Rosemarie was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 3, 1933 to Gordon A. Snow, Sr. and Marie (Holz) Snow. She married Richard (Dick) J. Schuler, Sr., on April 30, 1950, and together, they set an inspiring standard for a loving marriage.

In addition to her husband, Rosemarie is survived by three children, Richard J. (Hope) Schuler, Jr., of Marion, IN; Carol (Michael) Falls, Murrells Inlet, SC; and Peter J. Schuler, Nashua, NH. Also surviving are her brother, Gordon A. Snow, Jr., Jacksonville, FL, and her sister, Joan L. (Snow) Healy, Calverton, NY. Sisters-in-law, Barbara (William) Schuler and Marie (Robert) Schuler and brother-in-law, Joseph Schuler survive as well.

Rosemarie was truly blessed with wonderful grandchildren who will miss her deeply: Brooke N. Stephens, Nashville, TN; Jessica (Abe) Hartman, Brookline, NH; Stephen Schuler, Fort Lauderdale, FL; Brian M. Falls, Murrells Inlet, SC; R. Scott (Alexandra) Schuler, Sweetser, IN; and Brandon Schuler, Los Angeles, CA.

Sharing wonderful memories and treasuring the opportunity to have known a very special great-grandmother are R. Lucas Darnell, Indianapolis, IN; Mia Schuler, Nashville, TN; Abigail and James Hartman, Brookline, NH; Grady, Liv, Maren, and Cole Schuler, Sweetser, IN; and Alexis Falls of Murrells Inlet, SC. Rosemarie will also be missed by her extended family and all those that are blessed to call her family.

In addition to nurturing and raising a wonderful family, Rosemarie enjoyed socializing and exploring various interests. She was an avid reader and always had a book in her hands. For many years, she enjoyed oil painting, bowling, and dancing. She was an accomplished roller skater who won several State and National Championships. She has maintained many deep connections, some going back to her teen years, with friends all over the country. She was active in her children’s PTA and attended countless field trips with them. Even in retirement, Rosemarie was busy. She joined book clubs, played in a mahjong club, went on weekly dinner dates with the neighborhood group, and attended almost all of the holiday themed community parties. What most people noticed about her, though, was her complete and utter devotion to the love of her life, Dick. To watch the two of them together was almost magical and certainly inspirational.

A memorial service for Rosemarie will be held 12:30pm, October 23, 2021, at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Rosemarie's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
