Mary M Felts
<p>Mary (McCarthy) Felts died October 12, 2021, in Fort Wayne. She was born in Washington, IN to Thomas and Cleta McCarthy. She graduated from Marian College and obtained a master’s degree in Education from St. Francis College, Ft Wayne. She taught for many years at St. Patrick’s Grade School. Mary was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, FL. She generously volunteered her time to many worthy organizations, including Saint Joseph Hospital, Embassadors, Marian College Development Office, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Retreat and Spirituality Center, Venice. Mary is survived by her children, Margaret (Brian) Foust of Indianapolis, Ind., Thomas (Kay) Felts of Fort Wayne, Patrick (Ellen) Felts of Crestview, FL, and Maureen (Matt) Leugers of Venice, FL, and Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, James Felts, sisters Ann Welp and Irene Welch, and niece Jane Welp. Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, October 16th at 2:00 PM date at St. Anne Home and Retirement Community, 1900 Randallia Drive, with visitation one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 15th at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave, with a Rosary service at 7:30 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. In memory of Mary, an inveterate letter writer, send a card or letter to a loved one. Memorials may be made to Marian University, at marian.edu.
