Obituary

My beloved Eleanor Leona Avery was born on April 3, 1966 in Portland, Oregon to Doris Jean Hendrix and Eugene Avery. She attended and graduated from Grant High School, where she met John Otis White Jr. Together, John and Eleanor had two beautiful daughters, Capriece  and Breauna White.

“Ellie”, as we call her, had many trials but had just as many triumphs. In 2000, she recommitted her life to Christ and shared the gospel with anyone who would listen. Even in the midst of her own storms, she continued to show up for others in a way that is unmatched.  She encouraged many people, showed her gratitude with faithful tithe paying, and protested with many the word of God. She was dedicated to any and every challenge that she put her mind to.

Ellie purchased a brand new home, built and customized just for her in the winter of 2006. The following spring she would share her birth month with her one and only boy, Royal. The prince of the palace and her heart.

Ellie spent years at QFC grocery store where she shared her passion with her youngest daughter, Breauna, they spent many laughs together at work as mother and daughter.

Ellie was a talented artist, a comedian, and a truth teller. Many were simply in love with Ellie. Everywhere she went, she was adored for her authentic personality or it was simply the favor the Lord placed upon her.

There isn’t one person she couldn’t make laugh from either telling a story, clowning you to pieces, or just her loud vivacious and contagious laugh.

Ellie was exceptional. Ellie was rare. Ellie was extraordinary. And above all things Ellie was chosen.

Even though our hearts are burdened with sorrow, we can take joy in knowing she is holding hands with her baby girl and best friend, Breauna.

Preceded in death by her father, Eugene Avery and  her daughter, Breauna White. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Capriece White and Royal Fields; grandchildren, Noah-Xavier and Winter; sister, Carol Hendrix;  as well as her mother, Doris Hendrix.

Ellie we will miss you and never forget you. Well done thy good and faithful servant.
