Rebecca “Becky” Menslage, 60, passed on October 12, 2021, at exactly 7:00 p.m. at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. Born in Colorado, she was the younger daughter of Robert Menslage and Barbara Bourque. She moved to Louisiana as a teenager where she became the loved wife of James Gripp, for twenty-six years on October 11th. She was the mother of Daniel Menslage and Sarah Manuel, who gifted her with her prized grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Ava, Gisele, Starr, Annabel, Vladric, Camille, and Zaylee Jo. She was survived by one sister, Jennifer Rainwater and three brothers, Joseph, Michael, and Joshua Menslage. Her and her husband lived in Oakdale in a beautiful house where they helped raise their grandchildren and many dogs. She prided herself in her home and three amazing beagles affectionately called “the pups.” Rebecca loved going on strolls in her wheelchair to gaze at the different plants and flowers on her land. Becky was a firecracker of a women and was surrounded by love even to her last moments. Her family and loved ones will greatly miss her but know that she was a devout Christian and is now peaceful in heaven. May God take her into his arms.
