Donald J. McNamara Obituary

Donald Jeffrey “Mac” McNamara, 65, of Manor, PA gave into the battle he had been selflessly fighting on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Mac was born in Penn, PA to Donald Jefferson and Ethel Louise (Heasley) McNamara on July 12, 1956. Mac was a drummer for years, and played the guitar. He enjoyed all music, but classic rock was his passion. Quoting Joe Walsh, Mac would always say, “Life’s been good to me so far,” and everyone around him knew he believe that with all his heart. He loved riding his motorcycle when he was younger, liked cooking food of all sorts, and just simply enjoying life. However, what he loved the most in life was his soulmate, Debbie.

Mac met Debbie when they were teenagers. Although their paths in life diverged, their journeys brought them back to each other once again years later. From that moment on, Mac and Debbie were inseparable. Just as much as he loved being a devoted husband to Debbie, he adored being a father to her daughter, Lisa, who he loved unconditionally. While Debbie and Lisa always were the center of Mac’s life, the love and respect he had for his mother and siblings was extraordinary. Mac lived hard; he loved hard; and he fought hard, right to his very last moments with his two “best girls” by his side.

Mac is survived by Debra Marie “Debbie” Goodman and Lisa Marie (Bill) Siefert, along with his siblings: his brother, Scott McNamara; his favorite sister, Priscilla “Jane” (Bob) Christofano; Melanie “Mim” (Mitch) Skwara; and Mike (Shelly) McNamara, and many nieces and nephews. Mac was preceded in passing by his father, Donald Jefferson McNamara; his mother, Ethel Louise (Heasley) McNamara; and his beloved sister-in-law, Dawn McNamara.

A visitation will held at Mason-Gelder Funeral Home 201 N. First St. Jeannette on Saturday October 16 from 2 to 5PM.  His family welcomes those near and dear to Mac who wish to say goodbye, offer condolences, and share their favorite memories of Mac.
