Emma Earnestine “Earnie” Pridemore, age 81, of Lebanon, Va., went to be with the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. She was born on September 9, 1940, in Wilder Hollow, Russell County, Va.

Earnie was very proud to have served many years as an LPN at Russell County Medical Center. She had previously served as a Crewette with both the Cleveland and Lebanon Life Saving Crews. Her favorite pastimes included casinos, BINGO, cooking for her family and Dale Earnhardt racing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Dorothy Bailey of Cleveland, Va.; her brother, Don Bailey; grandsons, Christopher Pridemore and Eddie Hockett.

Survivors include daughters, Vanessa Grubb and husband Tim and Belinda Howe; son, Dale Pridemore and wife Karen; grandchildren, Lynette Bush and husband Dave, Joe Hockett, Allen Pridemore, Jarrod Moore, Ryan Grubb and wife Ava, Tyler Howe and wife Kelly; great grandchildren, Haley and Braylyn Hockett, Averie and Annaston Bush, Cayden, Paysen and Raylen Howe and Kaitlyn Courtney; sisters, Sheliah Rasnake (Jim), Deb Barker (Lester), Glenda Mounts (William); sister-in-law, Carolyn Bailey; brothers, Larry Bailey, Carroll Bailey (Diania), Mitch Bailey (Barbara) and Rick Bailey; numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to all the staff at the Abingdon Health and Rehab Center on Highlands Lane. Everyone there went above and beyond, treating Earnie like family and will forever have her family’s gratitude.

The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Cedar Pointe Baptist Church, 111 South Angle Ave. Lebanon, Va.
