David Allen Bartels

David Allen Bartels, 56,of Duncan, AZ passed away on October 9, 2021. David was born on April 30, 1965 to Herman and Loretta Bartels. David attended Alamogordo High School. He married Nancy I Barnard on April 28, 1991 in Alamogordo, NM.

David worked as a Location Manager for Factory Motor Parts for 7 years. He also worked for Dick Blacken, Vision Ford, Sierra Blanca Motors, and Hospital Housekeeping. David was involved in Alamogordo youth basketball league for many years. He was also involved in Ruidoso youth basketball league and men's and coed slow pitch softball leagues. David also enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. He was very kind to everyone he met.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Herman LaSalle Bartels and Lorretta Yvonne Burley Bartels and all of his grandparents. 

He is survived by his wife, Nancy I Bartels; son, Mark A Bartels; daughter, Tiffany R Bartels; mother-in-law, Kathleen Barnard; brother, Robert M Bartels and wife Kaelynn; brother-in-law, Ronald E Barnard and wife Sandra; sister-in-law, Donna Maness and husband Dan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Mountain View Church.

The Funeral Service for David Bartels will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 29, 2021 at Mountain View Church with Pastor Anthony Torres officiating.
Burial will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Brandon Cano, Richard Campbell, David Campbell, Tim Watts, Phillip Clark, and Tommy Cook.

The Bartels family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.
