Dennis Dean Cranor, age 61, of Independence, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at home. A memorial celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Zach Webb Family Funeral Service, 1475 S. 10th, Independence, KS, with Pastor Joey Ratcliff officiating. Memorial contributions on behalf of the family may be sent to Zach Webb Family Funeral Service, 1475 S. 10th, Independence, KS 67301. Dennis Dean Cranor was born November 28, 1959, in Independence, KS, to David Dean and Jewell Mae (Fry) Cranor. He grew up in Independence and graduated from Independence Bible School in 1978. He married Nancy Good and they later divorced. He served in the US Army, then returned to the area. He worked for years as an auto body specialist. He is survived by his mother, Jewell Cranor, Cincinnati, OH. Siblings, Mike Cranor, Independence, KS. Terri Wilson, Owasso, OK. Andrea Cranor Ratcliff, Cincinnati, OH. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Linda Sue Payne. The family has entrusted the arrangement of the services to Zach and Dee Webb of locally-owned Zach Webb Family Funeral Service of Independence.

Such a good Brother-in-Law. Never a harsh word and always soft spoken. Dennis was a VERY accomplished artist and he should be remembered through that art. I love and miss you brother! Rest in peace! Marty Wilson
