Oscar Jurado

A rosary will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, October 15, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm, for Oscar Jurado, 59 of Dexter, NM with burial to follow at Hagerman Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Ballard Funeral Home.

Oscar was born in Fabens, TX on September 24, 1962 to Timoteo and Josefina Jurado. He is preceded in death by his father Timoteo; brother Jose Jurado and niece JoAnna Jurado. Oscar is survived by his mother Josefina Jurado; brothers Pedro Jurado (Mary), Luis Jurado (Delma); sisters Lorenza Cereceres (Federico), Rachel Soria (Julio), Irma Montez (Tommy), Maria Saucedo (Sergio), and Carmen Barrera (Rene); sister-in-law Becky Ibarra and numerous nieces and nephews.

Oscar was a very happy person who loved to sit in his recliner watching tv or looking over to his left to make sure his momma was still sitting there where he could see her. He loved for you to clap your hands with his and listening to music. Oscar was loved by so many and will be deeply missed. Life will not be the same without you Oscar.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Luis Jurado, Eddie Jurado, Sergio Jurado, Christopher Jurado, Efrain Saucedo and Julio Soria. Honorary pallbearer are his nieces and nephews.

The Lord is my is Shepherd; I have everything I need.
