<p>Raleigh Eldridge, 79, of Battle Creek died on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek following a long illness</p> <p>Raleigh was born on February 8, 1942, in Yerkes Kentucky to Henry and May (Wooten) Eldridge.&nbsp; He attended school in Kentucky. Raleigh joined the United States Army during Vietnam, and he was honorably discharged in 1971. In 1966, he married Anna Leigh Campbell in Kentucky. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Raleigh retired from Protech Equipment in Charlotte in 2006.&nbsp; Prior to that he worked at Peckham in Charlotte. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.&nbsp; Raleigh was an avid collector of various western and military memorabilia.&nbsp; He enjoyed watching westerns and sitting on his porch watching wildlife and hand feeding squirrels.</p> <p>He is survived by his wife, Anna; four children, Deb (Matt) Williams, Tony (Rhonda) Eldridge, Wayne (Nancy) Eldridge, and Cathy Eldridge; four grandchildren; siblings, John (Carol) Eldridge, Dolis (Terry) Desilet, and Phillis Eldridge.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents.</p> <p>A private family graveside service will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Raleigh Eldridge, 79, of Battle Creek died on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek following a long illness

Raleigh was born on February 8, 1942, in Yerkes Kentucky to Henry and May (Wooten) Eldridge.  He attended school in Kentucky. Raleigh joined the United States Army during Vietnam, and he was honorably discharged in 1971. In 1966, he married Anna Leigh Campbell in Kentucky.
