James W. Nolan, 83, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, October 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born October 31, 1937 in Fond du Lac, the son of Willard and Evelyn (Rozek) Nolan. James served in the U.S. Army from January 1957 – January 1959 stationed in France. James owned and operated Assured Incorporated Mortgage in Fond du Lac until his retirement in 1999. He was a lifetime member of Oakfield VFW Post 8092 and Past President of Fond du Lac Board of Realtors. James enjoyed hunting, playing cards, riding his Harley, and was an avid Packer fan. He loved attending his grandkids sporting events and spending winters in Florida and Mexico. He is survived by two children, Willard (Linda) Nolan and Lisa (Dean) Gitter, all of Oakfield; four grandchildren, Amiee (Jeff) Drake, Jamie Nolan, Taylor Nolan, and Austin Gitter; two great grandchildren, Alyssa and Owen Drake. He is further survived by seven siblings, Nancy (Dave) Vanderkin of Waupun, Sandy (John) Kraus of Fond du Lac, Tom (Karen) Nolan of Waupun, Mike (Cindy) Nolan of Emerado, ND, Sharon (Bill) Prickette of Fond du Lac, John (Lori) Nolan of Byron, IL, and Joe (Sue) Flury of Genoa, IL; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Nolan; his mother, Evelyn Flury and step father, Hogan Flury; his former wife, Nancy Pfalzgraf; and his significant other, Linda Heinle. Visitation for James and his significant other, Linda Heinle will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Private burial with military honors will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
