JOSEPH R. FAKULT

Joseph R. Fakult age 91, passed away peacefully Oct. 12, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was the beloved husband of Therese (nee Molnar) for 64 years; loving father of Sharon (Al) Royal, Linda (Mike) Floran, Jeffrey, James, Michelle (Bob) Havrilla, Nancy (Stephen) Davis, Michael (Cathy), Joseph P. (Sandy), and Jennifer Fakult; grandfather of 23 and great-grandfather of 3; son of the late Joseph G. Fakult and Rose M. Fakult (nee Zupancic); brother of Mary Virginia Hentemann (deceased), James N. (deceased) (wife Frances), William, Joanne Peters (Tom deceased) and John Fakult. Joseph was a graduate of Cathedral Latin High School (class of '48), John Carroll University (class of '53), and served two years commissioned service in the United States Army Field Artillery. Joseph then began a career in finance, working 30 years in cost and financial analysis accounting, followed by 25 years of service to clients in retirement planning. His most gratifying after-hours activity was being husband to wife Terry and father to their nine children. He actively served his Church, community and country. Joseph was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Willoughby, where he managed the John Paul II bookstore for 13 years, served 13 years on Parish Council, and two years on the Cleveland Diocesan Pastoral Council. Joe was also an active pro-life Republican Central Committeeman for 40-plus years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday Oct. 16 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 37932 Euclid Ave. in Willoughby. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery. The Family will receive friends Friday Oct. 15 from 4-7 PM at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave. in Willoughby. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Lake County Right to Life or Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in Euclid.
