Elizabeth Ann Al-Baseer was born April 17, 1959 in Newark, NJ to the late Margie Clark and Bruce Lee. After bringing their baby girl home, they decided to raise her in the city of Orange, NJ. Elizabeth Ann attended and matriculated through the Orange Public School System; she was very popular amongst her peers who lovingly called her “Lizzie”. In her youth, Lizzie met the lover of her life, Yahya Al-Baseer. The two spent many loving years together before unfortunately losing touch for some time. Fate would ultimately reunite them and they began to live out their happily ever after. Elizabeth and Yahya vowed to never split again and officially tied the knot in 1983. Elizabeth was blessed with three children whom she loved and adored so dearly. To know her is to know how much she loved being a mother to her children; they were her everything. Tasha, Hemi and Esha were never too far behind; they were always attached to her hip and cherished that time together the most. In her spare time, Elizabeth loved to snap pictures of family and friends, listen to old school tunes and knit blankets and other apparel for her family. Elizabeth had the biggest heart and was an extremely hard worker. Working in the nursing field, she was dedicated to her patients and cared for them like family. That is the essence of who our mother was; a helping hand that offered love to all. She was deeply loved by all for her kind and giving heart. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margie, her father, Bruce Lee, her oldest sister, Jacquelin Clark, her only nephew, Wayne Clark and one of her favorite people, Willie Graves. Elizabeth now leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband, Yahya Al-Baseer, her children, Tasha Clark, John (Hemi) Clark, Miesha Clark-Jackson and Siheme Holloway, nineteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her only brother, Abu Muhammad, her sister, Lucille Clark-King, extended sisters, Cynitha Golden and Debra Wilburn as well as a host of family and friends
