<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Selma Charlotte Broadhurst , 90 of Hillsboro, Oregon, former longtime Albany, NY resident died on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 in Oregon.&nbsp; Selma was born in Albany on October 10, 1931 and was a graduate of Philip Schuyler Senior High School, Albany Business College and SUNY, she received her A.S.&nbsp; degree from Palomar College in San Marcos, California, her B. S. degree from the University at Albany and her M.S and PhD in Leadership and Human Behavior from the United States International University at San Diego., California. She was a member of the Melvin Roads Post 1231 in East Greenbush, NY, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Wigand Post # 8444 in Albany, Past President of B&rsquo;nai B&rsquo;rith Women Palomar Chapter in San Diego and was a founder of the Jewish Women&rsquo;s Guild of Fort Knox, Kentucky. She was also a member of Board of Directors Child Guidance Clinic at Heidelberg Army Hospital, president and founder of many civic and philanthropic organizations in the United States and Germany as well as a former member of Congregation Beth Abraham Jacob in Albany. Selma also founded a Toy Library at John Howe Library in 1945 for indigent children.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Selma was the daughter of the late Jeannette Weingroff Maslan and Louis Maslan. She is survived by her children, Shelley Connor, Joseph Broadhurst , Lynn Howland , Nancy Sanders and Harold Broadhurst as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, William Broadhurst II</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Services at the Berith Sholom Cemetery on Belle Avenue in Troy, New York&nbsp; ( within Elmwood Hills Cemetery ) on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 1:00pm.
