Roger William LaForce

<p>Roger LaForce was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on October 12, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents Martin and Mary LaForce and brother Robert. He is survived by his wife Donna, daughters Dawn (Marty) O’Neill, Denise (Ryan) Rhine and three grandchildren; Jacob and Emily Rhine and Caitlin O’Neill; brothers Richard (Donna), Roy (Mary Ann), Ronald; sisters Mary (David) Johnson, Patricia (Edward) Schultz.</p><p><br></p><p>After attending Aquinas Institute, he served as a sailor on the Kitty Hawk and attended Alfred State and the University of Rochester. This education led him to be a physicist at Xerox for the majority of his career. Roger was an amazing man, friend, husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family anywhere they all could be together, but most of all in the Adirondacks. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, wood working and turning beautiful bowls and other items on his lathe. He was a lover of food and golf.</p><p><br></p><p>Roger’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to their family, friends and the amazing care givers at the University of Rochester Wilmot Cancer Center and U of R Hospice. </p><p><br></p><p>No prior viewing. A memorial mass is scheduled for Monday October 18th at St. John of Rochester; 8 Wickford Way, Fairport 14450 at 10:00 am.
