Jerome (Sonny, Jerry) E. Wittle Jr., 84, of Enola passed away on October 9, 2021 at home.  Jerome was the son of Jerome E. and Valerian (Still) Wittle Sr.  Jerome was a graduate of Enola High School, class of 1955.  He worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 33 years and retired in 1987.  Jerome was a private pilot for several years and an avid hunter.  He went on several hunting trips to various western states.  He was a charter member of the Enola Sportmen’s Association.  Jerome is survived by his wife, Carol, of 64 years, a sister, Jeannette Walters of Mechanicsburg, three daughters, Wendy Houck and husband Timothy of Enola, Brenda McCartney of Landisburg, and Jennifer Myers of Enola, and six grandchildren, Alex Hoffman, Kelly McCartney, Eric Miller and wife Lindsay, Daniel Houck, John Myers Jr., and Jena Myers.  He was preceded in death by his son, Jerome Wittle III, grandson, Benjamin Houck, nephew Kevin Stago Sr. and son-in-law, Joseph McCartney.  Funeral Services will be officiated by Pastor Kelly Legg at Richardson Funeral Home on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 12:00 pm.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Harrisburg.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg PA 17110 or West Shore Baptist Church, 2025 Market St Camp Hill, PA 17011.
