Marjorie Barbara Fellbaum Ayers
May 29, 1922 – October 12, 2021

Marjorie died on October 12, 2021. She was born on May 29, 1922 in Anaheim, California to Otto and Ada Fellbaum.

She met and married her one true love, Shirley Gilliam Ayers, in Anaheim during World War II. They moved to Kentucky in 1945 to raise a family and start a business, the Squirt Bottling Company in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Marjorie was a great cook and spent several years working in or managing cafeterias. She was very talented musically, playing the piano and singing in the church choir. She loved gardening and taking care of all God’s creatures. She moved to Louisville in 1995 to be with her children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Shirley; brothers, Harold and Bob; and her daughter, Kathy.

Marjorie is survived by her sons: David (Linda), William, Mike (Patty), and Mark; son-in-law, John; ten grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A celebration of her life will be held for the family at a later date. Her preference for any expressions of sympathy should be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
