DeFAZIO-RUGAR, Amy, age 64, of Garfield, died on October 13, 2021. Born in Jersey City, she was raised in North Bergen 49 years settling in Garfield 15 years ago. She was an accountant 16 years with Pensa Movers in Union City retiring in 2019, and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, Garfield. She is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, Michael, and her loving daughter, Alexis Rugar and boyfriend John Scanlan. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Mary DeFazio, and her brother, Dennis DeFazio. Visiting Friday 2 to 6 pm. The funeral is Saturday, October 16, 2021, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for the Susan B. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.
