Brenda Kaye Lipp Obituary

Brenda Kaye Lipp 55, of Salem, died at 9:40 PM Monday, October 11, 2021, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born on September 19, 1966, in Salem, the daughter of Ruthann (Baddeley) Lipp and the late William E. Lipp.

Brenda was a lifetime Salem resident. She was a 1984 graduate of Salem Senior High School where she was in the marching band and ran track all four years. Once she left high school, she went on to YSU where she graduated with a degree in accounting and Business Administration. Her college education paved the way for her over her working career. She did a couple of small office jobs, but most recently was employed at General Commercial Corporation in Sebring, Oh. In her early years, she worked for the Salem News, as a dispatcher for Salem Police Dept., the nursery at the Presbyterian Church, and assistant track coach with Nancy Miller at the high school.

Brenda found the holiday season to be very special to her. She baked, made her special homemade sugar cookies, and Christmas ornaments for the police department and others. The neighbors always knew when a holiday was coming with all her blow-ups decorating the front yard.

She enjoyed the outdoors, running, and other outdoor sports. She had a real “green thumb” when it came to gardening. She knew how to make a good vegetable garden and flower beds of beauty. Brenda followed YSU football and attended games when possible as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was an active member of the Salem First Presbyterian Church and served on several committees.

Family time was big for her, having time together. They took trips to visit family in Florida and SC. It was always a scheduled activity while there to visit the beach. She will always be remembered by family and friends by her collection of “anything pigs”.

She is survived by her mother of Salem, two sisters; Deborah L. and Karen J. Lipp both of Columbus, a niece and a nephew, and 5 great-nieces/nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1997.

The family has chosen, due to COVID, to have a private family visitation and funeral service. They have asked that Rev. Ross Jackson officiate the services followed by the entombment at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.

Arrangements entrusted to the care of Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Salem.
