Stefni Seton Schwappach, 82, of Gillespie, IL, died at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL, on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 6:52 pm. She was born December 23, 1938, in San Diego, CA to Winton S. Hancock & Leslie Faye (Hite) Hancock. She married John Arthur Schwappach. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2011. She was a homemaker. Stefni was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gillespie, IL, former member of the First United Baptist Church of Staunton and a former member of Eastern Star. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Schwappach of Gillespie, IL, daughter in law, Anita Schwappach of Mattoon, IL, grandchildren, Paul (Bethany) Schwappach, John Schwappach, Heidi (R.J.) Johnson, Heather (Justin) McCollum, great grandchildren, Kieyerra, Obadiah, Avery, brother, Tony (Karen) Hancock of Encinitas, CA and sister, Leslie (Mike) Burner of Carlsbad, CA. Stefni was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, twin sons, Mark and Clark Schwappach. A memorial visitation will be on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church, Gillespie, IL from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Graveside services will be on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO at 10:30 am.
