Mrs. Evelyn T. German, 93, formerly of Lehighton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, Oct. 12th at Brookdale Retirement Community, Bloomsburg, Pa. She was the wife of the late Wilbur G. “Wip” German who passed away, March 2nd, 2010. Born in Palmerton, Pa. on Sat. November 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ignatz & Theresa (Krantz) Deutsch. She was a homemaker/housewife supporting her family’s endeavors. Evelyn formerly attended church services at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton, and formerly held a membership with The Lehighton American Legion Post 314 Ladies Auxiliary. She and her husband “Wip” enjoyed square dancing, camping, and traveling with the “Bounders” & the “Good Sam Club”. Surviving is a daughter, Geraldine Porter of Bloomsburg, Pa., a son, Dennis German and his wife Marilyn of West Caldwell, NJ, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Attorney John Deutsch, & William Deutsch. Funeral Services will be private.
