<p>Martin Leo Welch passed away on October 12, 2021 at his home in Fort Myers, Florida. Marty was 75 years old, born on August 26, 1946 and is originally from Webster, NY. He married Dorothy Greathouse on 4/16/1966.<br /> Marty graduated from Webster Thomas High School prior to serving his country as a United States Marine. Following his discharge, he worked as a machinist, ultimately opening his own company in Rochester, NY.<br /> Aside from his family, Marty had a passion for boating, fishing, a nice cigar, and a fine scotch. All who knew him would agree. He was the man everyone knew they could count on to give them the shirt off his back and was fiercely loyal to all who sought him out for help and support.<br /> He is survived by his wife Dorothy; his two sons and daughters-n-law, Jason & Kristin and Jeff & Michelle; his four granddaughters, Jenna, Morgan, Haley, and Riley; his siblings and their spouses, Dan & Sue Welch, Claudia & Bob Burmeister, Marvin & Tina Welch, and Jane & Bob Steinorth; and his numerous nieces and nephews.<br /> There will be a gathering for family and friends to celebrate his life in the Rochester, NY area at a time and date to be determined.<br /> In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Disabled Veterans National Foundation at https://www.dvnf.org.</p>August 26, 1946 - October 12, 202108/26/194610/12/2021
