<p>Gail Rosen, 79, of Fort Myers Beach, FL, a native of Mystic, CT passed away peacefully at her daughter&rsquo;s home in Branford, CT surrounded by her loving family.</p> <p>Gail was predeceased by her husband Alan Rosen with whom she shared 42 years of wedded bliss, her parents Warren and Esther Crumb, and her brother Roger Crumb.</p> <p>She is survived by her son Barry Rosen of Westerly, RI; her daughter and best friend Amy Rosen of Branford, CT; grandchildren Stephen and Megan Rosen, her wonderful cousin Diane Raffone and her husband Martin, and many extended family members who love her dearly.</p> <p>Gail graduated from Fitch High School and began her professional career as an administrative assistant&nbsp;at Pfizer in Groton, CT. &nbsp;Following her time at Pfizer, she started as a realtor at Mystic Valley Reality with her childhood best friend Sandy Ashby DeVeau. This was the beginning of a long and very successful career as a real estate broker, and she received many awards in recognition for her excellence in real estate. Gail became a co-owner of two real estate offices, RE/MAX Coastal Reality in Mystic and RE/MAX Realty Group in East Lyme.</p> <p>Gail believed in giving back to the community she loved. Throughout the years, she volunteered for the Mystic Bridge Residents Association, the Mystic Outdoor Arts Festival, and the Mystic 1776 Bicentennial Celebration, along with many other philanthropic activities that were meaningful to her.</p> <p>She and Alan loved entertaining and many family and friends have fond memories of time spent at the Rosen&rsquo;s. She always felt at home near the water. Gail enjoyed many fun filled years of retirement in her happy place in Fort Myers Beach watching spectacular sunsets from her lanai while searching for the elusive green flash, watching dolphins play in the water, birdwatching, and searching for shells on beautiful Fort Myers Beach. She loved being with her family and friends and she was always up for an adventure and enjoyed life to the fullest. She and her daughter attended many concerts including Elton John, Rod Stewart and Simon and Garfunkel, as well as many theatre productions and Red Sox Spring Training games.</p> <p>Gail&rsquo;s brilliant smile and sparkling blue eyes would light up a room. She had an impeccable sense of style and often received compliments on her fabulous outfits, accessories and signature glasses that matched her blue eyes. Gail&rsquo;s vivacious love of life was contagious and her family and friends will miss the joy she gave them.</p> <p>In honor of Gail&rsquo;s love of reading, memorial gifts can be made in her name to the Mystic and Noank Library, 40 Library Street, Mystic, CT.</p> <p>Gail&rsquo;s family will be hosting a private celebration of her life.</p>
