"Doc" Mark Thomas Foster Midwest City, Oklahoma Obituary

"Doc" Mark Thomas Foster

Mark Thomas Foster "Doc" passed away suddenly on Wednesday October 6th at his home in Ponca City. Mark was born to Dewey "Buck" and Carol Foster on January 31, 1968 in Wilburton Oklahoma. Belonging to a large noisy family with five siblings Mark was the quiet one who had a soft heart for anyone or anything hurting and rightly earned the nickname "Doc". Mark attended school at Schwartz Elementary and Little Axe Jr./Sr. high. Growing up in the country allowed Mark to discover his love of the outdoors. Always a country boy at heart Mark loved to hunt and lived to fish. Whether it was camping at Bengall Lake, hunting in the deer woods of southeastern Oklahoma or just swimming at Lake Thunderbird, spending time with his friends and family in nature is what he loved to do most. Mark at a young age would go to work with his dad to "help on the job" and followed in his dad's footsteps by becoming a brick mason. He worked as a brick mason throughout his life until the last couple of years when he changed to metal fabrication at MJ&H Fabrication in Ponca City. No matter what work Mark was doing or who he was working for, Mark made friends wherever he went, always giving 100% to every job and was seen as a dependable hard worker by all who knew him. Mark was a jack of all trades and an outdoorsman and he enjoyed teaching these skills to his children. He adored his kids and always wished he could spend more time with them. Mark is preceded in death by his Phillips/Foster grandparents, his father Dewey "Buck" Foster, and his sister Cindy Foster. Mark is survived by his mother Carol Foster-Smith, his wife Linda Foster, son Marc Foster and daughters Ashley Martin and Lana Foster and her fiancé Deven Geissler, his grandchildren Madison, Landon, Hannah, Melody, Maci, and Finley. He is also survived by his siblings Kelly and husband Mike Heffington, Curtis and wife Debbie Foster, Randy and wife Erica Foster, Tracey and husband Steve Montgomery, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.
