<p><strong><em>JIMMY WAYNE DAVIS, age 86 of Jemison, passed away on October 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on June 18, 1935; the son of the late Askew Davis and the late Merle Rutherford Ingle.</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>He was a former employee at Hardwoods Inc. in Thorsby, AL.</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>He is survived by: Daughter, Christy Davis of Jemison; Grandson, Stephen (Rebecca) Melton of Clanton, AL; Grandson, Skyler Davis of Jemison; Granddaughter, Bailey Knox of Jemison; 7 Great Grandchildren; and Sister, Joann (Bobby) Avery of Jemison.</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>He is preceded in death by: Wife, Vera Davis.</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 11:30am until 12:30pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>A graveside service will follow at 1:00pm in the Collins Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Jemison, AL.</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton, AL.</em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>www.EllisonMemorialFuneralHome.com</em></strong></p>
