<p> </p> <p>Debbie Godkin, formerly of Keg River, Alberta, passed away in Westlock, AB on October 9th, 2021 at the age of 66 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Alan Godkin of 39 years; sister Barbara Bouma; brothers Mack Bouma (Shirley), and Robert Bouma, and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father James Bouma in 1980, mother Ellen Bouma in 2012 and sister Lanek Skrlac in 2018.</p> <p>We would like to thank all the nurses (especially her long time nurse, Sandra) at Alberta Health Services-Community Care, and Homecare providers (Lois, Judy, Susan, Mary, Amy, Tracy and Sheri) for the excellent care Debbie received, which made it possible for her to stay in her home for the last few years of her life.</p> <p>As per Debbie’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place. A private ceremony will be held at a later date at Notikewin Vale of Peace Cemetery, at Manning, Alberta. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Debbie may be made to Spinal Cord Injury Alberta (SCI) 108, 5656 – 3rd Street SW, Calgary, AB T2H 1H7 or the Alberta SPCA 17904 – 118 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5S 2W3.
