M aria J. Chagolla, passed peacefully in bed next to her three children on her bedside on October 8th 2021, after her battle from recovering from a ruptured brain aneurysm. Maria is survived by her 3 children, Caridad, Ruben, Cristian, and her 3 grandchildren Issac, Aiden, and Jeff Jr. Maria was born on August 21st 1958 in Nogales, Mexico to Lucia Mascareno. As a child she grew up with 8 other loving siblings. She helped care for them alongside her mother all while instilling her light hearted nature through her siblings. Later down the line she attained her citizenship and would eventually marry. This then led to her having three beautiful loving children. During her life she would finally pursue her passion of singing and make a career of it. This would then take her on a path of many adventures and wondrous experiences. Maria then would delve into a variety of passions in her lifetime that shaped her into the loveable, passionate, caring woman that she was. Some of those passions included flamenco, piano, opera, and music in general. She was a devoted catholic that never strayed from her righteous path and values. Throughout her whole life she worked hard for everything she had. All the things she did were for the future of her little ones. The one thing she always had on her mind was putting her children first. Because of these values she was a kind woman to all. Strong, courageous, and humble were one of the limitless ways to describe her demeanor. We are her living legacy.
