Taryn Marie Massa, 45, was born to Tom and Terry (Roark) Massa on August 5, 1976 in Havre, MT. She spent her early years in Townsend, and from there moved to Laurel where she graduated from high school in 1994. She then moved to Idaho along with her family. While there she graduated with a Psychology degree from the College of Idaho and used this knowledge to help so many people over the years. Also, while in Idaho, she was blessed with the center of her universe, her son Troy. When Troy was 11 she decided Montana was where she wanted to raise him and moved back to Laurel. This is where she got reacquainted with her best friend, Jason Summers. Taryn loved to be on the move and doing things and, over the years, she and Jason had many adventures, including traveling near and far, dancing, and so many other activities. She never passed up an opportunity to try something new.
Taryn never wanted to be the center of attention, but would use her feisty personality to stand up for what she felt was right. If a helping hand was needed, she was there. Because of this, she was loved by so many.

Taryn was a lover of all things “Beast” from Beauty and the Beast and has an extensive collection that she amassed over the years. The last petal fell from her rose on October 11, 2021.

She is survived by her son, Troy Homer-Massa, her best friend, Jason Summers, her mother, Terry (Paul) Walston, her sister, Holly Manger-Bergen, her brother Drew Walston and too many extended family members to list.

She is preceded in death by her father, Tom Massa, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
