Lorene Willis, 74, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 in Fort Smith, AR. She was a former orthopedic technician and Pastor and guitar player at Highway to Heaven Church. Lorene was born February 3, 1947 in Rudy, AR. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Hunter; mother, Evelena (Fields) Tipton; sisters, Carolyn Southern and Dorothy Harris and a brother, Danny Hunter. She loved to fish and camp and loved her church family. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Ocker Chapel in Alma with interment in Mt. McCurry Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Reverend Willie Mooney and Reverend Harold Gilmore officiating. Survivors include her husband James Willis of the home; son, Jimmy Willis of Van Buren; Grandchildren, Brandon Willis and wife Kira of Van Buren and Cory Willis and wife Kayce of Alma; great grandchildren, Keaton, Chance, Kennedy, Madison, Kaytlyn and Haylee Willis. Pallbearers will be Brandon Willis, Cory Willis, Bill Willis, Larry Blevins, Rodney Lane and Dean Foley. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, Oct. 13, 2021 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma, AR.
