Glenn “Mark” Hurtie was born on November 17, 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas to Hazel and Billie Gene Hurtie. On November 12, 1981, he married the love of his life, Sharon Kay Miller who was born on April 26, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri to Raymond Lee and Mary Lee Miller. Together they had three children, Mark Glenn, Matthew, and Tammy. They were faithful members of the Pentecostal Church. They were both hard workers- Sharon worked for Feature Foam and Mark worked for T&W Masonry where he was a skilled bricklayer. After a long illness, Mark passed away on September 22, 2021 and Sharon passed away on October 11, 2021. Above all things they loved each other, and they loved their family. Mark and Sharon were preceded in death by their infant son, Mark Glenn Hurtie. They are survived by their children, Matthew and Tammy Hurtie and grandchildren Keelen and Kayleen. They were loved by many, and will be missed by all who knew them. Mark was also preceded in death by his father, Billie Gene Hurtie; his sisters Star Boomer and Cindy Hurtie; and his brother Billy Joe Hurtie. He is also survived by his mother, Hazel Deloris Hurtie; sisters Donna Ann Hurtie and Sherrie Lynn Hurtie. Sharon was also preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lee and Raymond Lee Miller; sister Cheyenne Nicole Cherokee; brothers Larry Dwayne Miller, Terry Lynn Miller, Raymond Lee Miller, Jr., Ricky Don Miller, and special niece Trinicia Rose Lowder. She is survived by her sisters Karen Sue Purington, Sharon King Pace, Patty June Purnell, Mary Katherine Miller, Patty Rose Miller; and her brother Danny Wayne Miller. They will be laid to rest together on October 18, 2021 at Highland Park Cemetery.
