James Joseph Andrew Nelson, 75, of White Hall, died Thursday, October 7, 2021.

He was born June 9, 1946 in Racine, Wisconsin, son of James Joseph Nelson and Josephine Nelson.

Mr. Nelson graduated from Central High School in Little Rock.

He started his career as a painter and later welded for several manufacturers, retiring around 2010.

Mr. Nelson enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, fishing, hunting and trapping.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Nelson; and a few siblings.

Survivors include his son, Michael Nelson (Tricia) of White Hall; grandchildren, Christopher, Kayla and Jacob; two great-grandchildren, Johnny and Kristen; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with Reverend Stewart Marshall officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 2:30 p.m. until service time at Robinson and Fuller.
