On October 9, 2021, Brandon Miller Penrod, age 48, fought like a warrior as he battled liver failure with PSC and passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Savior. Brandon was born on April 29, 1973, to Marie Miller and Dale C. Penrod in Provo, Utah. Brandon was raised in Provo and attended Timpview High School where he was captain of the football team and lettered all 4 years. He also earned his Eagle Scout award from the Boy Scouts of America. Brandon served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called to serve in the Philippines and also served part of the time in South Central Los Angeles, California and West Virginia. Brandon loved work. After returning from his mission he started building homes, doing carpentry, and acquired his general contracting license. In 1999 he started his own construction company, PCC, Inc. Brandon loved wood. In 2005 he taught himself how to design and build Timber Frames and started High Mountain Timbers with Kindrah. Many Utah homes are adorned with his hand-crafted Timbers. On October 26, 2002, he married Kindrah Nielson in the Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple for time and all eternity. Brandon served as a temple worker for a number of years in the Provo and Provo City Center Temples. In 2018, Brandon’s friend, Mike Aaron, selflessly donated half of his liver to Brandon. His family members and Brandon are grateful for the three additional years this allowed Brandon to spend with them. Brandon’s friends and family would also like to thank the many medical professionals at the Murray hospital for his care. Brandon leaves behind his beloved wife, Kindrah, and five adoring children, Taylor May, Brigham B, Jocelynn June, Haley Celeste, and Braden Hann. He is also survived by his parents, Dale Cluff (April Melody) Penrod and Marie Miller (Warren Mensel) Stratton, and his brothers Brett Miller (Doraleen) Penrod and Bart Miller (Renee) Penrod and many close friends that he loved as family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the LDS Stake Center at 1230 South 500 East, Springville, UT. Visitation will be Thursday evening, October 14, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 North University Avenue, Provo, UT and Saturday, October 16, 1:00-1:45 p.m. immediately before the services at the Stake Center.
