It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Lachance announce his passing on Oct 10, 2021 at the age of 69 yrs.  He will be remembered by his loving wife Marthe, son Daryl, daughters Danielle (Curtis), Renee (Dennis), and Donna, Granddaughter Elizabeth, brother Danny and special family friend Kristi Ringuette.

Richard and his twin brother were born November15, 1951 to Vital and Violet Lachance who homesteaded in the Vimy area.  He had a successful career as a mechanic for numerous years.  Family was incredibly important to Richard.  Without trying, he taught us to be strong, compassionate and to have patience.  Richard was your classic handyman that could fix anything.  He loved to tinker in his garage and was only a phone call away to lend a helping hand.  He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

The family wishes to send a thank you to Dr Keay, Westlock Homecare, Palliative Healthcare team, and the Paramedics from Palliative and End-of-Life Care program.  A special thank you to Kristi-without her love and support, we would have never been able to complete Richards final wish, to be amongst loved ones during his passing at home.

 We have an angel looking over us and he will be treasured in our hearts always.
