Ross Colton Phipps, age 28, passed into the arms of his Savior on October 10, 2021.

He was born October 1, 1993 to Leisa and Calvin Phipps.

At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus and was a member of First Baptist Church. Ross began his school days at Cullender Kindergarten and graduated from Monahans High School in 2012. A member of the Big Green Band, UIL Debate team, Powerlifting team, and a proud member of the 2011 semifinal Lobo Football team. He attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and transferred to UTPB where he graduated Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. He found his calling in teaching and was passionate about criminal justice reform and helping to mold young minds. Ross enjoyed fishing, camping and hiking with his dad exploring Texas. He had an extraordinary hobby of forging and loved creating beautiful pieces of metal art. As a result of his generous spirit and kind personality, he was loved by many.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ross Gann, grandmother, Cleo Jarell, grandmother, Irma Phipps, and several great aunts and uncles.

His wonderful life will be cherished by: his parents, Leisa and Calvin Phipps, sisters, Jenna Ramirez, Laura Phipps and Hannah Phipps, brother, Armando Ramirez and niece Sophia Ramirez; grandparents: Sarah Gann, and Calvin and Lynda Phipps; great aunts and uncles: Nancy Cox, Vicki Wilkin, Paula Johnson, Helen and Eddy Stephens, and Rondal and Joyce Phipps; aunts and uncles: Doug Gann, Richard and Michelle Phipps, Clint and Karla Phipps, Gary Brandenburg, Tim and Roxanne Brandenburg, Matthew & Amy Williams, Malcham & Melanie Williams, Olivia & Chris Chase, Melynda & Steven Heller, Myranda Williams, and Mark & Krista Williams; cousins: Aaron Gann, Alyssa Gann, Cydnee Phipps and son Brixton, Shelbee Phipps, Spensor and Avery Phipps and their son Sladen, Jensen Phipps and Cameron Barton, Aaron Brandenburg, Daniel Brandenburg, and a host of devoted extended family and friends.
