Brandon "Bran" Derek Johnson

<p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">BRANDON &quot;BRAN&quot; DEREK JOHNSON, 32, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, due to COVID-19 related complications.&nbsp;</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">Brandon was a graduate of Chattanooga State Technical Community College, where he earned an Associate&rsquo;s degree in nursing. He then went on to work for Dialysis Clinic Inc. for eleven years.&nbsp; The family would like to thank the members of Hamilton County EMS, as well as the nurses and staff at Erlanger hospital for their efforts.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Crandle &ldquo;Pap&rdquo; Gravitt; and his paternal grandfather, Thomas Johnson.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">He is survived by his college sweetheart and wife of 12 years, Crystal Johnson; his father, Ransom Johnson; his mother Kathy Johnson (Gravitt); his sister Leslie Massengale (Calvin); his maternal grandmother, Doris Gravitt; and his paternal grandmother, Pauline Johnson. He is also survived by his nephew, Hunter Massengale; and his niece, Harper Massengale; as well as many extended family members.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">Brandon was known for his lighthearted personality and his mischievous smirk that always let on when he was telling a tall tell. He could always make anyone laugh and was more than willing to share his exuberant spirit with the world. He was a loving and committed husband and son, as well as friend and coworker. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him but his charming smile will never be forgotten.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">DUE TO COVID REGULATIONS, MASK WILL BE MANDATORY WHETHER YOU HAVE UNDERLYING ISSUES OR NOT.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">The family will be accepting friends and visitors for fellowship and a celebration of Brandon&rsquo;s life from 4pm to 5pm CDT on Thursday, October 14, 2021.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">Funeral services will be conducted from the Tate&rsquo;s funeral home chapel on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 5pm CDT, with Bro. Bryan Mowery officiating.&nbsp;</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Greyhound Rescue Foundation of Tennessee in honor of Brandon&rsquo;s beloved greyhound Minnie.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">Funeral arrangements entrusted to Tate Funeral Home, LLC., 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, TN&nbsp; 37347, 423-942-9500.</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:20px;">Condolences may be sent to the family at www.tatefh.com.</span></strong></p>

Brandon was over the Dialysis Team that came to the hospital where I work. He was always smiling and a pleasure to work with. He will be missed.
