Gladys Marie Frank Obituary

Gladys Marie (Bouillon)  Frank, 89, of Tiffin died Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at her residence.  She was born July 18, 1932, in New Riegel, to Charles and Delphine “Della” (Frankart) Bouillon.
She married James Frank on June 9, 1951, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel.  He died July 23, 1980, in Tiffin, at the early age of 53.

Survivors include three sons, Michael (Nancy) Frank of Beavercreek, Steve (Donna) Frank and Daniel (Lea) Frank both of Tiffin;  two daughters, Sharon (Larry) Holman, of Fostoria, and Judy (DeLane) Clem of Tiffin; 12 grandchildren, Andy, Matt, and Jon Holman, Dana Mathias, Dustin Frank, McKenzie McQuistion, Devin, Kyle, and Colin Frank, Nic and Kris Frank, and Alex Pepe; 27 great-grandchildren, with one on the way and one recently deceased; a brother, Donald (Connie) Bouillon of Fostoria; and five sisters, Anna Thiry of Fostoria, Barbara Wise of Tiffin, Marcella Naderer of Fremont, Mary (Ken) Reidlinger of Upper Sandusky,  and Martha (Bob) Brickner of Marysville .

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, grandson Gregory Holman, brothers, Charles (Sonny) Bouillon and Paul Bouillon, and sisters, Margaret Koby and Alma Smith.

Gladys attended New Riegel High School.   Being a woman of strong faith Gladys was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, the Rosary Altar Society, St. Francis Auxiliary, and a former member of the funeral choir.  She loved singing and even after several years when she was no longer able to climb the stairs leading to the choir loft due to severe spinal arthritis, she would sit downstairs in the back of the church and still sing when the choir was needed.  After being widowed at the age of 48 she went to work at Ballreich’s Potato Chip factory where she made many lifelong friends.  In her spare time, she loved to bake and gave many of her baked goods away to family, neighbors, and friends.  She also enjoyed gardening and took great pride in tending her flowers.  One of her greatest accomplishments, however, was writing a book, entitled “One Day At A Time.”  This was a book for her children explaining her life with their Dad and all the adventures associated with raising their family.  This was a two-year project to completion and is a definite family treasure.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 10 to 11 am, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, where funeral Mass will begin at 11 am Saturday.   Rev. Matthew Rader will officiate, and burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church, Tiffin Right to Life, or a charity of the donor’s choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio, 44883 (419) 447-3113.
