David Merle Landrum, Jr. David, affectionately called “Poppa” by his grandchildren, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, surrounded by his family and love. David was born February 16th, 1954, in Claremore, OK. David graduated from Edmond Memorial High School and the University of Central Oklahoma. David was a Special Agent in the Criminal Investigation Division with the IRS for 28 years. During his career at the IRS, David worked as an undercover agent focusing on money laundering and drugs. After his retirement with the IRS, he worked many years in the banking industry as a consultant. David’s career took him on many adventures, and he was a trailblazer in his industry. David married his wife Patricia in 1981 and they were together for 40 years. David’s greatest joys were living at the lake, enjoying the water and his boat, and most of all making his 80 acres into his own oasis. David loved his family and being outdoors. David always made an impression on everyone he met with his sense of humor and most of all his integrity. He is preceded in death by his parents David Landrum, Sr. and Joann Starr Landrum. He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Landrum; daughter Sarah Landrum Everett and her husband Caleb; son Dennis Landrum and partner Briana Strait; dog Tala; sister Karen Landrum Young and husband Brett; nephew Kyle Young and wife Rosa Young; 2 grandchildren Landry and Layla. The memorial service will be held at McNeil’s Funeral Home, 525 W State Hwy 152, Mustang, OK 73064.
