Carey James Gill Obituary

Carey James Gill passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2021 after a brief illness.

Born on August 29, 1986, he leaves behind to mourn him forever, his mom, Debra Gill; and his dad, James Gill. He leaves his beloved brothers, Zachary (Kelly) Gill and Ryan Gill; and his sister, Jamie (Josh) Evans. He was the best uncle to Dylan and Lillian Gill and Jackson, Gavin and Bristol Evans. And, of course to Ryan's little boy, Dominic, who meant the world to him. His very close family; his aunt, Cheryl Laws; uncle, Dennis (Mary) Laws; aunt, Mary Gill; uncle, Michael (Kathleen) Gill; and uncle, Terry Gill. He was exceptionally close to his cousins, his "love" Tisha (Mike) Lewis, Brent Byerly and Dick (Katie) Byerly and their children, Aubrey Brothers, McKenna Lewis and Michael Lewis; and Jessie, Kelly and Meggie, Dick and Katie's girls. His cousins, Derek Laws, Justin (Kathleen) Gill, Patrick and Mark Gill, Heather (Sam) Fox, Anna Samuels and Erin McAnallen. His best friends for life, Erica Swisher and Ryan O'Connor; and special people, "aunt" Cindy and "uncle" Charlie and Mindy Forer. Then of course, Michal Peresta, his mom's partner of 20 years who loved him like a son. All the friends he grew up with and all he met wherever he went.

Carey loved music of all kinds and loved to cook gourmet meals. He had an interest and knowledge of science and loved to tell you about it whether you wanted to hear it or not (LOL). He watched every Marvel movie or series and he loved to make people laugh. He was genuinely hilarious. Most of all, Carey loved his family; we were his favorite people and loved getting together. There is no one, no way, to ever replace him in this life. "So let me say before we part, so much of me is made of what I learned from you, you'll be with me... like a handprint on my heart". "For Good," from the Broadway Play, Wicked.

The family will receive friends Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
